The lodge is located only a short distance from the world renowned battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift – about four hours' drive from Durban and five hours' drive from Johannesburg.

The lodge rooms are architecturally designed to resemble traditional Zulu beehive huts while still providing guests with comfort and luxury. All rooms are en-suite with a separate bath and shower and each room has its own viewing deck, offering panoramic views of the game reserve.
The main lodge is beautifully set amongst Buffalo Thorn trees and dolorite boulders and boasts a homely lounge with a large fireplace, a bar, library, spacious verandah and swimming pool.
The lodge takes pride in its cuisine and has developed a reputation for its uniqure presentation of South African fare.

Isibindi Zulu Lodge is situated within the 4000 acre Isibindi Eco Reserve which offers a variety of habitats ranging from montane grassland to thornveld and riverine forests.
Guests are likely to see a wide variety of indigenous game on morning or afternoon game drives and bird watching is excellent. Guests are safe walking in the reserve or meandering along the river beds.
