The farm and guesthouse are beautifully positioned at the foot of Lennox Hill where, history tells us, the Boers hid their horses during the first battle of the Anglo-Boer War – the Battle of Talana Hill in 1899.
From this base visit the world renowned battlefields of Isandlwana and Rorkes Drift, the site of the Battle of Blood River, Spionkop, the Winston Churchill Capture Site and Memorial, Talana Hill and Museum and the siege of Ladysmith, to name but a few.
Vistors can enjoy game drives on Lennox farm, which is home to eland, hartebeest, giraffe and numerous birdlife or visit one of the nearby game reserves at Chelmsford or Spionkop.
Horseriding, white water rafting, visits to San paintings and Zulu cultural experiences can also be arranged, or visitors can just enjoy relaxing beside the swimming pool.
Lennox Cottage offers guests an ideal base for exploring the surrounding areas of Dundee, which is not only surrounded by places of historical value, intrigue and tales of battle, but also by places of great natural beauty.
