Amakhosi Safari Lodge, whose name means “The Place of the Kings” in Zulu, is a true gem of Zululand. Nestled in the Amakhosi Private Game Reserve, the lodge blends attentive service, absolute comfort, and dramatic bushveld scenery, with breathtaking views over the Mkuze River.

The lodge is surrounded by ecologically diverse landscapes of savanna, wetlands, and mountains, creating a rich habitat for the Big Five and a wide array of other wildlife. Here, you may encounter cheetah, giraffe, warthog, hyena, crocodile, hippopotamus, and over 15 species of antelope. Birding enthusiasts are also spoilt with more than 400 bird species recorded in the area.
