
Ubizane Wildlife Reserve
Near to Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-NatalLocated in a low-risk malaria area in the northern part of KwaZulu-Natal, Ubizane Game Reserve is set within a beautiful piece of Africa. The reserve covers 1200 hectares and as it is not home to any predators - guests can walk around safely and freely. The animals at Ubizane are relaxed and graze around the lodges freely. Ubizane boasts a variety of game, including White Rhino, Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, an abundance of plains game and a myriad of over 450 bird species
Ubizane, which means 'The place of calling' in Zulu is well situated, less than 3 hours drive from Durban and on the access road to Hluhluwe-Imfolozi National Park. It is less than an hour's drive to the Swaziland border and about an hour's drive to the closest commercial airport at Richards Bay.
Visitors can enjoy guided open vehicle game drives either in the morning or the afternoon - both within the reserve or in the neighboring, Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve, a Big 5 Game Reserve, renowned for its work in rhino conservation. Guests can also enjoy Bush walks within the reserve on Horseback excursions
Ubizane offers a choice of two different lodges - Zululand Tree Lodge which has beautiful wooden chalets hidden on stilts, in a Fever Tree Forest and Zululand Safari Lodge offering rondawel-styled rooms, scattered across sprawling lawns. Guests can select between Bed & Breakfast and Full Board Packages.
Ubizane Wildlife Reserve caters for group Conferences and are experienced in hosting magical bushveld weddings where everlasting memories will definitely be made.
