Zululand Safari Lodge - Ubizane Wildlife Reserve - African Style Rondavels

Ubizane Zululand Safari Lodge is a self-catering accommodation venue located a short 15-minute drive from the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park. This lodge is set in 1200 hectares of private game reserve.

 

The 24 rondavel-inspired rooms in this private reserve are ideal for families, small groups or couples.

Each of the 14 2-sleeper rondavels are air-conditioned with mosquito nets over the beds and are fitted with an en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet & basin, a full kitchen should you choose to self cater and a private patio.

The 10 4-sleeper family units are air-conditioned with mosquito nets over the beds and are fitted with an en-suite bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and toilet, and a full kitchen should you choose to self cater and a private patio.

All rooms are serviced daily.

Ubizane Zululand Safari Lodge offers a swimming pool as well as a play park with jungle gym for the little ones.

Although the Zululand Safari Lodge rooms are self-catering, you are welcome to join other guests at the Ubizane Zululand Tree Lodge Restaurant for either lunch or dinner.

Alternately pre-book a package which includes Bed & Breakfast or Dinner, Bed & Breakfast.

Experience the freedom and beauty of the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve on horseback. Saddle up and take an early morning romantic ride or go for an evening relaxing ride through the Ubizane valley. Horse ride through unspoilt lush forests, game and open grasslands.

How to get there

Situated next to the Hluhluwe Game Reserve in Zululand, Ubizane Wildlife Reserve is only a 2,5 hour drive from Durban on the N2 northbound.

From Durban (276km) proceed on the N2 North, past Tongaat, Stanger, Empangeni and Mtubatuba to Hluhluwe. Take the Hluhluwe/Sodwana Bay offramp. It is also signposted Zululand Tree Lodge.

At the top of the offramp turn left onto the P453. Travel a further 2.5km and you will see the Ubizane Wildlife Reserve entrance on your left.
